The queen of weird and wonderful

Notes from the Lady Gaga concert last night:

  • We had standing tickets and stood ten steps away from Lady Gaga as she made her way across a walkway through the crowd. It was perfect, I could actually feel the presence of the performer and see her facial expressions. I never want to sit up in the rafters again.
  • The set was elaborate, the costume changes frequent and the costumes insane. I would expect no less of the Queen of weird and wonderful.
  • Gaga showed proof if being a top performer, and my goodness she can sing.
  • She has a fantastic relationship with her Little Monsters (that's what she calls her fans, for those who are less familiar with Lady Gaga). She makes them feel important to her, for real. She really offers her time to them, it is not all about her songs and her costumes but all about those doting fans. As far as fan interaction go, hers is the best show I have ever been to.
  • An example of Lady Gaga's love for her fans is when she at one point towards the end of her show pulled a little 12 or 13 year old girl out the audience mid-song, told her to promise to always follow her heart, and took her dancing across the stage in front of 21,000 people at the Allphones Arena. I can't even begin to describe the look on this little girl's face, not only did she get to stand right in front at the concert but she got to dance on stage with Lady Gaga herself. Fantastic.
  • I sincerely hope Lady Gaga is genuine, because she got to me and really made me like her. As a person.
