We shared a bottle of wine, ate stuff from every category on the menu, thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant owner's cheesy saxophone performance, had lengthy conversations but didn't talk about the kids at all, and most certainly didn't worry about them.
We travelled by über there and back, with Priscilla, queen of crazy driving. She started our journey by totally failing to reverse safely out into the road to take a right, and we ended up in a chicken race with oncoming traffic. On the way back home, she seemed to get ever so slightly lost taking an odd detour around Blackwall Mountain. Never mind, the view from there is lovely at night.
Back home we found Clara peacefully asleep in Anna the sitter's lap.
All in all a perfect night! If you are ever in Ettalong, I can recommend Beef & Barramundi. Both for food and quirky owner.
