Rescue mission

Our visiting girls spent the whole gloriously sunny day yesterday in Sydney. Bondi Beach, more precisely. I've asked them so message me when they get on a train home each day they spend in Sydney, just so I know. Other than that I don't really expect any communication from them.

This morning (if you can even really call it that) at 02.11 am my mobile rang. "Nora Australien" it said. I was too sleepy to get around to worrying that the girls were in trouble, so I picked up more curious than anything else. As it turns out, they had experienced a minor misfortune where they had failed to get off the train in Woy Woy, and were stranded in Tascott about 8km away.

Luckily I'm the sort of person that can go from fast asleep to fully functioning in a matter of seconds, so I was in the car (barefoot and in my PJ's, because there are limits to my dress sense at 2am) and on my way to Tascott in three blinks of an eye.

The girls were retrieved and are now, 09.00 am, sleeping in their beds. Me, I'm thinking up various things I can have them do for me as compensation for my late night taxi services. The ideas range from babysitting (so I can catch up on my beauty sleep) to cleaning the shower (because that's the kind of thing I'm always trying to get someone else to do).

Either way, I'm sure I will benefit somehow.
