I have noticed a mistake very commonly made these days in the English language. I often see sentences like this:
- I should of told him.
Or:
- We should of gone earlier.
What IS that? I cannot believe that people don't spot this mistake as they are making it - "should of" is complete NONSENSE. It means nothing, the word "of" has no role to play in the above sentences.
It baffles me.
